Kulturhavn – a cultural festival in Copenhagen Harbour

Kulturhavn Festival is an annual event that brings art, culture and movement to the harbour. With curiosity and enthusiasm, we explore the city's blue-green oases and invite the audience on adventures in new harbour districts. Kulturhavn's program is full of experiences that span as wide as the harbor is long and are always free to participate in.

Since the construction of the first harbour bath at Islands Brygge in 2002, city life and harbour have moved closer and closer together. It has created new opportunities for community and culture, which we celebrate with the Kulturhavn Festival on the last weekend in August. Every year we invite the city's cultural creators to dive into blue urban spaces along the harbor and offer what they do best – bringing people together and creating unique experiences that inspire, entertain and challenge us.

As a festival guest, you get a look into existing communities and the opportunity to immerse yourself in workshops, movement and guided excursions in the harbour. You can experience music, theater and poetry and let yourself be surprised by exciting projects that live and are cultivated in and around the Copenhagen harbor.

Kulturhavn is presence, togetherness and adventure in the blue urban spaces and an opportunity to take home a new view of the harbour, community and culture life.
