Kulturhavn – a cultural festival in Copenhagen Harbour

Kulturhavn Festival was an annual event between 2001 and 2024, bringing art, culture and movement to the harbor. With curiosity and enthusiasm, the city's blue-green oases were explored, and the audience was invited on an adventure in the harbor and its new neighbourhoods.

Since the construction of the first harbor bath on Islands Brygge in 2002, city life and the harbor have moved closer and closer together. This has created new opportunities for community and culture, which Kulturhavn Festival celebrated for 24 years. 

Each year, the city's cultural creators were invited to dive into blue urban spaces along the harbor and offer what they do best - bringing people together and creating unique experiences that inspire, entertain and challenge us. 

Festival-goers got a peek into existing communities and the opportunity to immerse themselves in workshops, movement and guided excursions in the harbor. There was music, theatre and poetry, as well as plenty of exciting projects that live and thrive in and around Copenhagen Harbor.
